10 Years of Real Support: Tyler’s Story
When Tyler first started with Dynamic Ability Support, his days were built around trying different things and finding what clicked.
He spent time in respite, connected through gaming, and stayed active with regular sports sessions each week. These experiences created structure, but more importantly, they gave Tyler the space to explore what he enjoyed.
Along the way, there were moments that stood out.
One of them was Mullet Fest, a community event supporting the Mark Hughes Foundation. Tyler not only took part, he won his heat. A moment he still laughs about today, even if the mullet has since been retired.
With time, Tyler’s focus shifted. What started as a casual interest in bowling turned into something much bigger…
He committed to it, trained, competed, and pushed himself further each year. That dedication led to one of his proudest achievements, winning the TBA Classic Masters Championship.
It was a moment shared with the people around him. His family, his friends, and his support workers who had been part of the journey.
Today, Tyler is focused on what he loves. He’s competing, achieving, and continuing to build his own path in the sport.
His story is about finding direction, backing yourself, and growing into something you didn’t expect at the start.
As part of our 10 year milestone, we’re sharing 10 Stories for 10 Years, celebrating the people and moments that have shaped the Dynamic Ability Support community. Tyler’s is one of them.
